Deeply shocked and saddened at the news of Ashley's passing. He died doing something he loved. Will be thinking of family and friends tomorrow as you bid him farewell. RIP Ashley.
With love from the family in the UK (Aunty Thelma, Karen and Renee (cousins)).

Thanks Peter

1. Registration will be via PRIVATE INVITE to ABYC members only - just getting my ducks in a row first.
2. DONE and thank you
3. With the campaign this month the timing is a bit off for the new site - we are hoping to use other social media mechanisms going forward.

As with any community type site the admin is quite large hence the limiting of members of the site to actual members. As time goes by I am planning to rope a couple of 'moderators' in to keep an eye on and take action with regards to unwanted content.

Much improved, though a few suggestions to make.

1) There is no obvious way to register as a member on the site.

2) I would include the site administrator's contact details in the 'contact' tab.

3) Link in to our Lipton Campaign 2011 Facebook group. The Jelly Baby / Lipton Cup crew are doing their best to attract new, young people into the club.

First and formost well done to all my crew. To the other boat owners I challenge you this next season to get your crews together and plan your events. One of the main reasons for looking good at prize giving was the fact that Jelly Baby sailed every event. I had total novices on the boat at the start of the season. Now they are part of the ABYC Lipton cup team... Why????? 'cos they have been sailing and wanting to train at every oppotunity and where Jelly Baby was not going out they sailed with someone else. Fantastic enthusiasm....So where did I get these guys from????

ABYC deck one Wednesday evening. Even if I knew my partners could not make a Wednesday sail, I would still go to the club and look for people to sail with. I knew if I could not find any body to sail with I could at least have a beer and a chat with my fellow members.

Eugene, John and I are committed to getting the club handicaps right so that every competitor has a good chance at some silverware.
I for one look forward to a good 2011/2012 season of fun, serious, long ,short, racing and cruising.

Yours in sailing
