American Queen Voyages’ Ocean Voyager, formerly Victory I, embarked on the line’s first-ever Mexico and Yucatan Peninsula cruise. The sailing is also the first for the ship under its new moniker.
“Expanding our experiences beyond U.S. river cruises to immersive international small-ship itineraries has been a company goal for some time and it is exciting to now offer our guests these new content-rich cultural adventures,” said Shawn Bierdz, COO of American Queen Voyages. “Later this year we will embark on Southeast U.S. voyages, itineraries touch all five Great Lakes, an inaugural expedition season in Alaska with Ocean Victory and much more.”
Ocean Voyager will sail four of the Mexico and Yucatan Peninsula voyages, each visiting ports and sites that include Campeche, Progreso and Valladolid. Highlights include a visit to Malecon de Campeche, a sunrise visit over El Castillio and the Temple of Kukulkan, a visit to El Gran Museo del Mundo May de Merida, and two nights at the Mayaland Hotel, which sits adjacent to Chichen Itza.

Heartland Splendors on the Ohio River (Cincinnati to Memphis): This nine-day sailing takes passengers along the Ohio River with stops in Madison (IN), Paducah (KY), Brandenburg (KY), Owensboro (KY), Henderson (KY), New Madrid (MO), and Memphis.
New England Splendors (Portland to Toronto): This epic 13-day journey onboard Ocean Navigator sails around the northeast corner of the U.S. and into Canada. Ports of call include Portland (ME), Halifax, Charlottetown (PEI), Quebec City, Montreal, and Toronto.
Splendor of the Great Lakes (Chicago to Toronto): This 11-day exploration of all five Great Lakes is offered onboard Ocean Voyager and Ocean Navigator. Ports of call include Chicago, Mackinac Island (MI), Little Current (Manitoulin Island, Ontario), Detroit, Cleveland, Niagara Falls (Ontario), and Toronto.
Authentic Alaska (Vancouver to Sitka or reverse): This 12- or 13-day cruise calls on several off-the-beaten-path ports inaccessible to larger ships including Vancouver, Fiordland (Kynock Inlet), Ketchikan/Metlakatla, Misty Fjords National Monument, Waterfall Coast, Petersburg, and Tracy/Endicott Arm, Kake/Frederick Sound, and Sitka. Sailings run May through September.
