Turning out at 13h30, with splicing the mainbrace at the ABYC Teak Reef afterwards (braai fires provided). Leave the baggywinkles at home! SAS Eastern Cape AGM:
SAS EC is planning to host its annual AGM,, with election of new office bearers, at ABYC on Saturday 20 June, at 10am. SAS members welcome to participate.
Free State Yacht Club Regatta – 17 Oct:
A member of the FSYC who participated in the Vasco Da Gama Race enjoyed his visit at ABYC so much that his club has offered to provide ABYC members places on yachts competing in their annual regatta on Gariep Dam. FSYC has offered to also help provide accommodation. Any of the J-owners want to practice your tactics against the inland sailors? ABYC bikers – want to take a weekend run north to the border? Closing of Season Sail Past:
All keelboats and dinghies are welcome to dress up their boats and join our closing of sailing season sail past off Hobie Pier, on Saturday 20 June. We’ll be offering the ABYC Commodore and President our salute at 12h30. The ‘saluting’ of other boats with waterguns is not compulsory!
