The management and exco recognise that the boisterous situation on Friday nights has become unacceptable by the standards to which ABYC aspires. The effort to bring possible yachtsmen and young people into the club has been “too successful”. In order to bring this situation under control certain steps need to be taken.
As from this Friday, 23 August, Happy Hour will be suspended until further notice. This is a temporary situation which can be re-instated, possibly in a different format, at a later stage. Understanding is requested until this situation is under control.
Members are reminded that this is their club and its success depends on their continued support.
