In the interests of a democratic society we ask members to vote and give direction on the date and format of an appropriate year end function and prizegiving for the Algoa Bay Yacht Club in 2014.
Please take cogniscance of what we as a club would like to achieve for our members and sailors:
- Prizegiving is the one function that is a prestige one for the club.
- Junior sailors are welcome to take part in and remain custodians of great tradition
- Prizegiving is part of a a function at which the entire body of members can get a chance to laud those who have done well in the past season
- Taking note of expenses it is envisaged that a semi-formal dinner function will cost around R130.00 a head (cheaper than last year)
- As members it is right that we are proud of our club and the achievements of our sailors as we only exist to ‘foster an interest in sailing’.
