The first medium distance race of the 2014/15 Centenary Cup was sailed on 24 September 2014 in rainy and wet conditions which kept the sport boats away from the course and saw three hardcore crews slog it out on a sailing course which took them from a Port of Port Elizabeth Harbour start, starboard around the Lateral Mark at the entrance to the Port of Nqura straight up to the Bellbouy and thence to a Harbour finish.
The race presented a beating challenge of note and was won by what early indications look like a welcome return to form for Rob Smith on Tikalox II. Watch out the rest of the fleet it looks like Rob has found a lot of silver polish and is staking an early claim on prizegiving glory!
