Thank you to all who have enquired as to the status of our tenure – I fully realise where your sentiments lie in the continuance and future of our Club and would like to keep you in the picture.
The land tenure status with other clubs does differ. At present we have our situation under review by the Ports Regulator in terms level of rental etc. They are the arbitrators in this regard.
There are also major re-allocations of land usage in the Ports that have been promulgated in Parliament. We are now in an area demarcated as Leisure and Recreational Marina Development.
As we are in a Port where things will be changing in the not too distant future with different business units moving to Coega and other land being freed up there is nothing we can do at present except to stay closely and cooperatively in touch with the authorities whilst this exciting new land use landscape opens up.
