Zports, the organisers of the Bell Buoy Swim Challenge taking place on Sauturday 8 March 2014 have issued a friendly request to ABYC yacht owners to assist by “lining” the swim route.
Saturday 8 March Race Details:
- Compulsory racing briefing for all seconds at 8am on Pollok Beach.
- Starting Time – 08h30
- There will be TWO cut-off points in effect for this race. The first at the Bell Buoy (1hr 15min) and the second 3/4 of the way into the race (2hrs). All swimmers who haven’t passed the cut-off point at the designated time will be removed from the water and marked as ‘Did Not Finish’ – NO EXCEPTIONS.
- A prize giving ceremony will be held at Pollok Beach at 11h00 on race day.
Sunday 9th March will be used as a reserve day in the unlikely event of the swim not being possible on the 8th.
