Notice is hereby given of the 57th Annual General Meeting of the Algoa Bay Yacht Club.
Our 56th AGM is on 27 July 2015.
The Algoa Bay Yacht Club and it’s two entities were both established in terms of our constitution and voted for at a properly constituted AGM by all members present. All our membership and sailing issues reside under the Algoa Bay Yacht Club entity, while the commercial aspect of our club, namely the running of our bar, is constituted within the second entity, the Algoa Bay Yacht Company NPC.

The club is run by your Exco who are elected by the members at a properly constituted AGM. Your Exco has regular monthly meetings and regular sub committee meetings in order to ensure that the club is run in honour of our constitution and to ‘foster sailing’.
The slate for nominations for Exco members for 2015/16 is up on the Notice Board – please nominate your chosen candidates for Exco before the AGM.
Our tax affairs are current and up to date with SARS.
We work on maintaining good relations with stakeholders and partners and engage positively with them.
Your present Exco is here to serve and has a policy around ‘positive engagement’ with members and our sole mission is to ‘foster sailing’.
We believe that by fostering sailing we will raise the profile of our sport and also help preserve the investment that boat owners have made into yachts and the marina – ours is a symbiotic relationship and each cannot exist without the other.
A 56 year-old, solid, trustworthy tradition fuels our present.
