2015 Interclub NOR, SI and Entry Form

The 2015 Interclub regatta hosted by ABYC will take place from 25 to 27 April 2015 on the North End Lake and will begin and end at the Power Boat Club or Committee boat. The Regatta Headquarters will be the North End Lake Power Boat Club.

The 2014 Interclub was a world first event sailed in the shadow of the iconic Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium and attracted large numbers of entries and great interest from the general public.

Get your entry in now for this wonderful and unique regatta sailed in the inner city of Port Elizabeth.

Entry Fees:

  • Single Handed per boat: R180.00
  • Double Handed per boat R225.00
  • Single Handed Juniors per boat R100.00 (Under 18)
  • Double Handed Juniors per boat R150.00 (Under 18)
  • Entry Fee includes Saturday Braai and entertainment.

Notice of race for Port Elizabeth to St Francis and Back.

Date: 16 & 17 January 2015
START: 22h00 – Harbour start

Turning Marker: Co-ordinates will be posted on Notice Board

NB: The turning marker is an imaginary mark off Cape St Francis Harbour Wall. Yachts will be monitored via “tracking” system. The permanent marker off the Harbour Wall has been moved closer to the break-water and therefore is too dangerous for use as a rounding mark!

The race is subject to weather conditions.

Skippers holding only a Day Skippers Ticket to please liaise with Eugene Lombard.

Yachts are strongly advise to carry Life-rafts.

NOR Pursuit Race 3 – Sunday 23 November

Start Time: 10:00

If start time needs to change due to shipping it will be announced at 9:30 and will be published on the white board.

Starting sequence will commence at 9:55. After the first start, only a sound signal will be given for the next handicap as start. See Table Below.

Notice of Entry

Each skipper must write their vessels name on the white board prior to race or make sure the race officer records it.

Start Line: This will be between the Starboard & Port Lateral mark of the good sheds and ore quay.

Finish Line: This will be between the Starboard Lateral mark of the Yacht basin breakwater and the Port lateral mark of the ore quay.

Course: Start -> Bell-Buoy to Port -> PE Safe water mark to Port -> Harbour finish.

Alternative Course: Harbour Start -> Bell Bouy  To SB-> Harbour Finish.

Any changes to Start/Finish or course will be announced at 9:30 and will be published on the white board.

Double Handed Race 14 June 2014

Notice of Race: The ABYC Double handed race will take place on Saturday the 14th June 2014. Skipper Briefing will be at 1pm start not before 2pm

Course will be Start- Bell Bouy (port) – Channel Mark (port) – Finish in Harbour
