This overnight race to a turning mark of the Port of St Francis on 16 & 17 January has been amended to start at 06h30, instead of 19h30.
Skippers will be at 06h00.
Skippers of participating yachts are asked to post their entry by Thursday 14th January 16h30 with the Race Convenor (morgan_griffiths@yahoo.co.uk).
Nemesis has confirmed her entry and is challenging Wallbanger and Malgas to the 100NM duel!

SAS EC is planning to host its annual AGM,, with election of new office bearers, at ABYC on Saturday 20 June, at 10am. SAS members welcome to participate.
Free State Yacht Club Regatta – 17 Oct:
A member of the FSYC who participated in the Vasco Da Gama Race enjoyed his visit at ABYC so much that his club has offered to provide ABYC members places on yachts competing in their annual regatta on Gariep Dam. Closing of Season Sail Past:
All keelboats and dinghies are welcome to dress up their boats and join our closing of sailing season sail past off Hobie Pier, on Saturday 20 June. We’ll be offering the ABYC Commodore and President our salute at 12h30. The ‘saluting’ of other boats with waterguns is not compulsory!
ABYC’s prestige double handed race around St Croix Island will be sailed on Sunday 7th June.
This race is for double-handed crews (skipper plus 1 crew member). Yachts sailing single-handed or with more than two crew are welcome to participate, but won’t be recognised as race participants. Skippers Meeting at 09h00, with harbour start and finish – subject to shipping movements.

Join us for a sail out of the Bay this Sunday, around Cape Recife lighthouse to Noordhoek, and back again.
The Noordhoek Skiboat Club has kindly offered to lay the turning mark (set in >10m of water at approximately 34°2’42”S 25°38’45”E).
Skippers at 09h00, start at 09h30.

Yachts are invited to participate in the Rose Bowl Race race on Sunday 12th April, from Port Elizabeth Harbour to Ngqura Harbour to finish at Hobie Beach Pier.
Race requirement is that the boat must be skippered and helmed by ladies, although skippers wishing to participate but whose physical anatomy is not of the same design as that of a female, have to flamboyantly dress-up as a female (the mental state need not be the same), although the yacht must still be helmed by female!
