2011 Lipton Breakfast

The annual Lipton Cup breakfast and Auction to raise money for the ABYC team contesting this year’s Lipton Cup in Mossel Bay will take place on 7 August 2011 from 09h00.

Book your place at the breakfast on the booking list in the bar.

The house committee will collect R40.00 per head for breakfast on the day at the door.

Now, don’t be stingy – bring heaps more cash to snag a couple of items ay knock down auction prices as well.

What’s Happening at ABYC During the Castle Tri-Nations Rugby Fixtures

Ja, ja, ja, Richard – we all know that ABYC is a sailing club!

In the absence of any of those ‘Northern’ (Ian!) teams ABYC expects you to do your duty and support the boys in green and gold by attending at least one of the events below:

  • 30 July: New Zealand vs South Africa in Wellington at 09:35 – pop along for Breakfast and money prize for closest score.
  • 06 August: New Zealand vs Australia in Auckland at 09:35 – pop along for Breakfast and money prize for closest score.
  • 13 August: South Africa vs Australia in Durban at 17:05 – enjoy a Boerie/kebab roll and money prize for closest score.
  • 20 August: South Africa vs New Zealand in Port Elizabeth at 17:05 – enjoy a Boerie/kebab roll and money prize for closest score.
  • 27 August: Australia vs New Zealand in Brisbane at 12:05 – you get the night off!

Chartroom Restaurant

The Chartroom Restaurant is open to all ABYC members, the general public and also for corporate bookings and evening functions.

Open for lunch and dinner from Tuesdays to Sundays.

Phone 041 585 2893 and book your table well in advance.

Large groups, small conferences and all other celebrations are also catered for.

The setting cannot be beaten – eat your meal overlooking the yachts in the marina.

The Chartroom has an interesting and varied menu for you to choose from, ranging from kiddies meals, to pub lunches, to steaks and seafood fresh from the ocean.

The Chartroom also caters to a host of birthday parties and weddings.

Members get to use the facility at no charge. Non Members are encouraged to support the ABYC Community Sailing Program.
